Working for a tech company like Horizon had it's benefits, not only did he get some of the gadgets before the rest of the public. But more importantly he got to work with his wife, even if most people thought it was a horrible idea when he'd made the shift from the police force. He'd of course ignored all of their nagging that a husband and wife needed their time apart because, well, the job was safer and considering the hours...working together didn't promise they were always around each other. The company kept him busy as an investigator, a job far easier than detective, but he never minded the little tasks they gave him. Like finding out what the competition was working on or who was exploiting loopholes that they'd failed to see. But when the news started to spread that somebody had figured out how to tap into the 'consciousness' of the 'bots on the island, well, he came sniffing around the main offices. They hadn't had anything exciting going on for the past few months. Not since he'd been denied the ability to go after that last hacker they'd put away when she'd literally jumped out of prison.

It didn't take much convincing to let him join whatever tech they were sending out into the 'world' to investigate, he was the only member of security eager to be honest. Even better when he snuck a peek at the name of the person they'd decided to send out and saw that it was in fact going to be his wife. He didn't think malfunctioning 'bots were going to give them too much trouble but he certainly wasn't going to let her go alone. More time together after all.

The only real problem he had with 'bots was the fact that they did such a damn good job of looking and acting normal. Amber had done a damn good job with the programming. But in the end they were still nothing but ones and zeros between their ears. Thankfully, they all seemed to follow the four laws of robotics pretty well as far as he had seen and the only reason he'd seen that was because they'd visited the 'worlds' a few times during off time. Well, that and the fact that most of the secretaries in the home office were ones and zeros too. Not that he could fault HR for using them instead of hiring real people. It kept down on the leaked information and the bottom line, you don't have to pay robots, they don't need breaks, and not nearly as many questions about promotions. But sometimes he did feel a little uneasy around them with they way they watched the actual humans. Like how the one sitting at the desk a few feet away from him kept glancing his way and asking if he needed a refreshment or a magazine to read.

"Nah, I'm fine.", he drawled in that thick Cajun accent. Watching the 'bot for a long moment before he shifted in his seat and leaned down to make sure his boots were laced up nice and tight. He'd been told they were going to put all of the 'bots on standby while they went in and figured out what was going on. Was that going to stop him from carrying that pistol on his back? Fuck no. The damn things may follow the rules but they also had the ill fate of having a hacker snooping around and messing with things. He wasn't going to trust one as far as he could throw it which was why his eyes shifted back to that damned 'bot again before he pushed himself up out of his seat. Just in time to catch Amber coming from one of the back offices and flashing her a smile while he pulled his jacket on.

He'd just spent the past thirty minutes reading over all of the malfunctions going on while he was waiting for her to finish whatever meeting she was having. So he was eager to tuck his phone into his pocket and approach her for a quick kiss to her forehead. "We ready?", he asked before glancing towards the 'bot at the desk that was rambling on about sexual harassment. Actually, she was muttering about it which prompted him to scoff a little and give Amber another kiss but this time actually on her mouth. "She thinks I'm sexually harassing you Mrs. Beliveau.", he teased lightly before clearing his throat. "I grabbed the bag from the guys down in the server room, they said you'd need it.", he shifted away from her enough to grab the small black duffel from beside the chair he'd been sitting in. "You get the message about it starting with...uh...", his hand slipped into his pocket to grab his phone, but he remembered before he got his fingers wrapped around it, "...the bard, think they said it started with him...", he paused and arched a brow, "But you already knew that, huh?", giving her a quick smile.

When the boss man had asked Amber to take a look into Stonegate, she'd thought it was meant to be a reward: an easy job to give her a break from the soulsucking work that came from digging glitches out of the codes for his new storyline. Stonegate was a sleepy robotic town in the Kingdom of Delannor, and a fundamental part of their Sword from Stonegate story arc. There were other, smaller storylines associated with the town, but its main purpose was the Stonegate Catacombs; the resting place of the Sleeping King and his Heartseeker, a magical sword of untold power. The storyline had three official variations: good, evil, and neutral, all with different challenges associated with it. The evil variation involved graverobbing, which was supposed to trigger the town's dead to rise from their graves at the No Longer Sleeping King's command... Only problem was, the zombies had stopped coming for the black knights and started coming for the white knights instead.

It was a popular storyline that offered rich rewards, so the Control Room had been inundated with complaints shortly after the trouble started. The black knights couldn't complete the storyline objective because the zombies weren't being triggered, and the white knights were losing prestige points for killing the zombies just to get to the Sleeping King. A lot of their clients came to the island resort to relax, but some of them had turned it into a 24/7 hobby; completing the storylines for the emblems that could be turned in for better weapons and gear. Every client had their own "closet" back at Landing, with wardrobes matching every "world" they'd visited, where they could keep the assets they'd earned during previous visits. So, Stonegate's malfunctions were a pretty big deal, and they were having to issue all sorts of reimbursement rewards to apologize for the inconveniences... Still, easy compared to what she'd been doing, or so she thought.

When she'd put in a request for a security escort - standard procedure whenever a tech went out on the field to investigate malfunctions - Amber hadn't known who would be assigned to her. Everything at Horizon was segmented into different departments, and D&D (or Diagnostics & Development) had no jurisdiction over Security. But she hoped it would be her husband, if only for the opportunity to spend time with him. She'd been working long hours recently, thanks to a new storyline Erroll was trying to roll out, and they didn't get to see each other on the job as often as she would've liked.

Amber was in a rush to get out of her office, and she was giving instructions to her assistant on her way out the door. She finished shrugging into her jacket, patted at her pocket to make sure the folding control console was still in there, then went striding down the hall to the reception area. "Remy," she greeted him with a smile. The kiss to her forehead was quick and sweet, and it added an extra shine in her eyes. "We're ready," Amber agreed. She glanced at the receptionist bot, then smiled into his next kiss. "Hmmm, do it again, Mr. Beliveau." She managed to get one last kiss on his bottom lip before he could clear his throat and go back to business.

"Oh, good," she said while eyeing the duffel bag he was holding. What were the chances she could get him to carry it? "He's the trigger for the graveyard," Amber told Remy. "When the Heartseeker is stolen, the bard plays the Ballad of the Dead, which wakes up the Sleeping King and the zombies... But he's only playing the Ballad for the white knights, and they're not stealing the sword." Amber was packing underneath her coat, largely thanks to Remy. He was the one who'd taught her how to shoot it, and she only wore the gun while out on the field because of some of the things he'd said. She preferred to rely on programming wherever robots were concerned, but thanks to him she knew how to use force if she needed to. Still, actually wearing the shoulder holster took some getting used to.

She couldn't resist reaching for his hand and twining their fingers together on their way out of the office. It wasn't the most professional thing to do, and she would let his hand go if they passed colleagues in the hall, but she liked having the connection. "Is it nice out there?" She asked on their way to the elevator that would take them up to the sub-shuttle level. They could take the sub-shuttles to any prominent location on the resort. "It feels like I haven't been out of the Morgue for years..." The Morgue was what they called the D&D laboratories where they handled troubleshooting, reprogramming, and new storylines. Amber had been sleeping in the courtesy employee rooms in Horizon's sub levels - and doing more than sleeping whenever she and Remy could get a moment alone - for the last couple of weeks. Erroll could be a demanding man to work for when he was inspired, and he'd turned into a slavedriver since coming up with his newest storyline.

MISSING PART OF TAG GOES HERE

Before they reached the elevator that would take them up from the underground facility he let go of her hand, "Just a second, lemme get one of those fancy umbrellas...", he told her then ducked into a closet. When he popped back out he had the small black case in his other hand and a grin spread across his lips. "Alright, let's go.", he said while taking her hand again and hitting the elevator call button. Once they were in the elevator it wasn't going to take long to get to the top where all of the shuttles were, which was still underground really. But he wasn't going to waste any time in tugging her into his lap once they were on the shuttle, colleagues or not.

Holding her so that her back was against his chest and his chin was hooked over her shoulder while still keeping a hand joined together. "This'll be easy, yeah?", he rumbled in a low tone with a glance up to her profile. Nothing was ever easy with it came to the 'bots, well, in his opinion but he didn't have the mind that Amber did. Not but three minutes after asking the question the shuttle was breaking free from the underground tunnel and plopping them at the entrance of Stonegate. The clouds above still looked pretty damn angry and like they were going to break any second but at least the lightning was contained within them. Getting solid ground beneath them again he quickly dropped to a knee so he could pull the black drone from the case and activate it. It'd hover over them and work it's magic in keeping the rain off of them once it started pouring, and yeah, it was magic to Remy. He hadn't a clue how the thing really worked.

With it hovering above he glanced up to it while closing the case and moving to hide the case in a bush before he slipped up beside Amber again. Curling his fingers around the back of her neck for a moment to pull her into a substantial kiss that lasted for a few long breaths, breaking it to rumble. "Les' get it done." Relaxing his fingers while he gestured for her to lead the way with a careful eye slanting up to not only the clouds but the drone as well. He hadn't been entirely convinced Erroll hadn't put cameras on the damn things...

--------------------------------

Even if the storm was inconvenient for the job they were setting out to do, Amber couldn't resist a quick smile when he told her about the clouds. Storms were a natural power in an increasingly technological world, and she loved watching that power be unleashed; even if she wasn't such a fan of being out in it. That's why she smiled at Remy for remembering the drone umbrella, which she would have completely overlooked if not for him. Probably a good reason for the techs to be paired with a security guard whenever they went topside, Amber reflected as they were getting into the shuttle. She smiled quickly at Remy again when he pulled her into his lap, and since they were alone she didn't insist on something more professional. Amber was a pretty, relatively young woman in a largely male dominated field, and that meant she was constantly fighting to be taken seriously. Too many of her colleagues suspected her of sleeping with Erroll to get her position, no matter how prominently she wore her wedding ring or how professional her relationship with her boss had always been.

"It's a milk run," she assured him while lightly nudging her back against him. Amber enjoyed the brief quiet moment with him in the shuttle, breathing in his cleanly familiar scent and nuzzling a few kisses into his neck. Too soon, the shuttle door was opening and she reluctantly got off his lap so they could both get out of the vehicle. She stood near Remy while he was setting up the drone, and this time took over the task of carrying the duffel bag with all of her supplies in it. It gave her a chance to check out the inventory, as well as pull a pair of gloves out of her coat pockets and put them on. A little chillier than she'd been expecting...

Out in the open, and presumably away from prying eyes, Amber didn't resist being pulled in for that kiss. She lightly tucked her fingers over his chin, holding his cheek into the kiss until he moved to break it. The noise that came out of her was distinctly reluctant, and she indulged in one last, quicker kiss. Then she rabbited out of his arms and moved to lead the way, pulling her control console out of her pocket and unfolding it. Amber tapped a few buttons on the first third of the screen, bringing up the robotic life signs for every unit associated with Stonegate. There shouldn't have been any activity in the town at all -- she'd made sure the shut down command was active for Stonegate before leaving her office -- and yet...

"Something's moving in the graveyard. Not... A lot of movement," Amber frowned down at her screen. "But we should check it out. Nothing should still be on..." She glanced at Remy over her shoulder, then headed in that direction; still carrying her bag of equipment. It was eerie, walking through a seemingly dead town. Robots lay limp and unmoving in the places they'd been before the shut down command had been issued, presenting another problem she would have to deal with before the storm broke. The robots could be out in the rain, but it was better to march them inside.

Amber dropped her duffel bag at the entrance to the graveyard, then consulted her control console. "It's just inside..." She glanced at Remy, then pushed the gate of the graveyard open and slowly led the way inside. Amber glanced down at her control console for a few steps, then realized she didn't need to: one of the zombies had gotten stuck crawling out of its grave, and that glitch had overridden the global shut down command. It was only part of the way out, an arm and forearm visible and slowly twitching from either side like a grisly undead flag.

"Hm," she said while tapping a few buttons on the console. Amber sent an abort command, which put the robot back into its programmed standby mode: in this case, the robot slowly pulled its arm back into the grave until its hand disappeared. "That was easy enough," she said with a quick smile over at Remy. "Now, let's get the bard." The brightly dressed entertainer was sitting just outside the entrance to the catacombs, which was conveniently right outside the graveyard. He'd still been playing his Ballad when she had shut it down, so he was frozen mid-strum on his guitar, and Amber hoped whatever client had been there had gotten a nice refund out of it.

Hopefully she could stop it from happening again, too... Amber started tapping more buttons on her console to get a few diagnostic tests running, then finally turned her attention to Remy. "These tests are going to take a few minutes, and I need to stay in range," she explained.

--------------------------------

MISSING PART OF TAG GOES HERE

Off meant off, if they weren't following that command then he wasn't going to hesitate to aim for the motherboards.

Remy made sure to stick beside her but couldn't help but pause a little when he saw that arm twitching around, "Well, that's comforting.", he muttered and shifted his weight on his feet to carefully look around them. No movement for as far as his eyes could see and with the interface he'd sprung for that was a damn good distance. By the time his attention shifted back to his wife she was smiling at him and he couldn't help but return it before nodding quickly. Shifting into a silent shadow on the way to the bard. He wasn't sure what she was doing on that little console but he was certainly keeping his eyes trained on that damned bard like it was about to spring back to life. "Huh?", he noised before shifting his attention to her.

"Few minutes? Well, ain't leaving you here alone not if they're fritzin' out.", he gave her a playful frown but that frown soon shifted to something a helluva lot more playful and suggestive. "Few minutes long enough to...", he trailed off while maneuvering himself behind her. Wrapping his arms around her and resting his hands on her stomach while he buried his face into her neck. Kissing and nipping there, "Think Erroll has the cameras runnin'?...", he rumbled against her skin while slanting a glance towards the console in her hands. Remy had always been a deviant and on top of that his favorite game was distraction, so really, she shouldn't have been surprised when suddenly his fingers started to drift.

Lower...lower...until he was kneading at her over her panties and grinning against the side of her face. "We really need a vacation...", he groaned.

--------------------------------

He earned a swift look and a grin for his comment about the wriggling zombie arm being comforting. Amber was a staunch supporter of robotics technology, and could argue passionately for hours about the importance of developing artificial intelligence, but she respected his more conservative views. When they weren't in the middle of a debate about it, anyway. "You'd better not," Amber warned him when he said he wasn't going to leave her there alone. "It's like an actual morgue out here. I'm not sure which one I like better..." She glanced at the sky, seriously considering the question.

No rain yet, but soon. Amber glanced at Remy, and something about his expression caught her attention. She quickly glanced down at her control console, tapping in a global command for all of the outside bots (except the Bard) to go to shelter. She was just about to activate the command when Remy's hands settled on her stomach. Amber made a softly approving noise as she shifted against him, and drew in a breath at the thought of Erroll having a camera on them. "I'll kill him if he does," Amber said, loudly enough for any possible mics to pick up on.

She was just as much of a deviant as Remy, and if there were cameras... Wouldn't hurt for certain people to see her with her husband, and the one person she really didn't want to see her like that would have no interest in watching. Erroll was like the eccentric uncle she'd never wanted, and there was only one person she had ever known him to show interest in. He'd written songs - literally written songs that were being played by different musicians throughout the resort - covertly dedicated to Siegrid, yet maintained the playful professional demeanor with her that he had with all of his employees. Amber didn't know why he didn't get it over with and pull her into his office already, but that was the last thing on her mind at the moment.

Amber shifted her weight back into Remy's chest while he was kneading his hand over her panties. "Mmhmm," she hummed with agreement. "If Erroll's watching, I want that two weeks off you've been promising me." Amber turned her head enough to catch Remy's eye. Most drones were equipped with cameras, so it was most likely that the one they were using as an umbrella had one... She gave it 50/50 odds whether her boss was actively watching the feed or had it activated, though.

She turned suddenly in his arms, moving to face him so she could nuzzle their mouths together. "I'm going to tell the 'bots that are out here to go inside before the rain hits," Amber murmured. "So don't start shooting when they start moving, okay?" She gave him a quick kiss, then pressed the activate button on her console. Amber folded it up, then set it on the nearby brick wall that the bard was sitting on. Putting it in her pocket seemed too risky, considering what Remy's hand was doing, and it was expensive equipment. With both hands free, she wasted no time in thumbing open the button on his pants so she could slide her hand down them more easily. Amber worked him out of his pants, using her other hand to push his pants (and any underwear he may've had on) down his hips enough to pull him free: standing proud while she stroked him.

Amber deliberately positioned herself so if there was a camera on the drone, it'd be able to see his cock and her hand; turning to hide her smile in his shoulder while she potentially showed him off to their coworkers.

--------------------------------

Remy chuckled a little when she was saying she'd kill Erroll if he had any cameras watching them. Though, he was already pretty sure at least the security department had somebody manning the station to keep an eye on them. For security reasons of course, because if something started to happen then they'd need the backup if it was too hairy. Honestly he'd seen people do worse on those cameras than what he was planning to do with his wife. Plus, what were they supposed to do while they waited for the diagnostics to run their full cycle? Sit and twiddle their thumbs? With how hectic their schedules had been he was going to get it while he could, as blunt and rough as that sounded. It also helped that he had always been on the exhibitionist side of things when it came to sex. Nothing to be ashamed of, right?

Once she shifted back against him though, his eyes shifted around the area and his interface picked up on the active cameras in the area. Most were pointed away from them but there were maybe three trained in their general direction. Question was, anybody watching the feed? He let out another chuckle again when after her mention of time off two of those three cameras suddenly went dead. He still wasn't sure about the drone though. It's tech was a bit different and his interface had a hard time reading exactly what was going on with the innards of it. So, he would have agreed with that 50/50 odds.

He was nothing but grins when she turned in his arms and nuzzled their mouths together, "No shooting.", he murmured after her quick kiss. The grumble that rolled out of him when she shifted was completely warning her from making his hand lose contact. Forcing his index finger to focus more on that sensitive nub with more determined circles, ones that faltered a bit when her hands started working at getting his pants open. A long, low groan escaped from deep in his chest when her hand settled around his cock and started stroking at him. His free hand moving to tug her shirt enough so he could expose a breast long enough for him to thumb over her nipple. Soon his mouth was finding her throat to start suckling a mark into her flesh and already shoving the idea of being watched to the back of his mind. At least for a moment.

It was with another groan that he shifted them so he could wrap an arm around her to reach a breast to fondle through her shirt while his fingers continued to work at her clit. Not as aggressive as he may have liked but...Suddenly he stopped his working hands and slid both so he could work her pants down until they were about mid-thigh. His cock already hungry to be buried somewhere but he wasn't going to be doing any of that until he was damn well ready. Remy glanced up towards the drone again for a brief second before he took her hand off of his cock and bullied her into a better position. Putting her completely in front of him, wrapping an arm around her from behind so that his hand held her on her far shoulder. Pulling her flush against him from that position so that his already eager cock was pressed rudely against her ass.

With her pants around her thighs, panties too, it made it a helluva lot easier to get more determined with his fingers against her clit while his face was buried in the crook of her neck. Nipping smaller marks into her flesh while he huffed out heated breaths as well, "Forward.", he muttered. Shifting his eyes to glance around to the 'bots that were returning to wherever the hell they needed to go but it wasn't going to stop him. He moved them forward until a large stone...thing was in front of her, he didn't know what the hell it was called honestly because it wasn't a tombstone. Shifting his free hand to her lower back instead of around her to get her to lean forward and rest her hands on it to steady herself. Once she was forward enough, he let his index and middle finger slide down her slit until they pressed inside of her and curled inwards to stroke across that magic spot.

Making sure to pull more than a few noises from her before he used his other hand to guide his cock towards her, slowly pulling his fingers out seconds before he pressed against her. Remy didn't give her time to do much of anything before he pressed quickly inside of her then pulled completely out only to press in again with a rumbling groan. "Fuck...", he muttered under his breath. One of his hands shifted up to her shoulder to hold her there while the other settled on her hip as he buried himself hilt deep inside of her. "...h-hold on.", was all the warning she got and a clear sign that he wasn't going to hold back. His thrusts weren't exactly forgiving or slow for just starting but he wasn't going to be aiming for marathon fucking at the moment. Each thud into her pulled a groan out of him, "Jesus, you feel a-amazing...", he huffed out before leaning forward to nose her hair out of the way to bite at the back of her neck.

--------------------------------

She loved having Remy's hands on her. That was one of the things that made the ‘bots she made still seem like a poor substitute to the real thing; to her real thing. Nobody thrilled her like he could, or made her gasp and murmur just by groping her tits or suckling a mark into her throat. Amber wanted to scold him not to go above her neckline, but feeling his possessive mouth on her neck was all it took to have her whimpering instead of speaking. Of course, the hand he had between her legs, fingers working furiously on her clit, probably had more to do with her whimpers than anything else. She tried to keep up with stroking his cock, but that got harder and harder to do; especially once Remy started to bully her into a new position.

Amber huffed at him when she lost her grip on his cock, but he felt so good pressing against her from behind that she couldn't complain for long. She tilted her head toward his a little bit, moaning softly for the determination behind his fingers. "Mm," she half-whined when he told her to go forward, but Amber was nothing if not obedient in the moment. She moved forward, letting him guide her to the stone wall that surrounded the entrance to the catacombs. Amber bent for the pressure of his hand on her back, adding a flirty flare behind her hips as she was getting into position. The look she slanted at him before his fingers pushed inside of her was filled with fond amusement. After he was stroking over her trigger point, all Amber could do was moan and rock her hips for him.

"Remy," she breathed when he was pulling out. Amber opened her eyes and was just about to turn to look for him when he replaced his fingers with something a lot more filling. "O-oh," she hummed on his second inward thrust, underneath the rumbling groan that made a pleasant feeling go sparking through her. Amber's breath became as much a challenge as her teasing, "For what?" She managed to get it out just before he started picking up the pace. Her hips rocked back into his for every thrust, and she wasn't shy about her moans regardless of who might've been able to hear them from the various cameras at Stonegate. Part of the lure of the resort was as a legal answer to prostitution, and the essential Horizon employees weren't robots no matter what their boss might've preferred...

Her hands remained braced on the wall, giving her extra leverage when she started moving her hips back into his thrusts. Amber looked over her shoulder at him -- or more specifically, at what she could see of his cock driving into her. She couldn't help her hiss of breath while turning her head forward again. But even her voyeurism had its limits, and if there were any kids or families out near Stonegate... It would be so embarrassing to be found like this! That was why Amber set her hands over her mouth, holding in the inevitable moans and groans that Remy was fucking out of her.

Even so, the noises were only being muffled, and more than one of the sounds that she was holding in sounded suspiciously like his name.

--------------------------------

The last thing, and the very, very last thing, on his mind while he thrust into his wife was the fact that anybody could have been around that was actually a living, breathing person. Even if they were, and the fact that he was sure there were cameras around somewhere, it made it that much more thrilling. Each noise he forced out of her was a victory as far as he was concerned. Especially when her hips started shifting back into his thrusts and prompted him to fix a hand at the small of her back to steady that arch there. But what really got him was when her hips moving back against his got a bit more focused, "Am...", he groaned loudly down at her before he let his head lull back enough so he had a perfect line of sight on the drone. Glaring up at it for a long moment before his eyes closed and he let his hips sync up with her's to perfection. So by the time he lowered his head enough to look back down at her she was holding her hands over his mouth and it was more than a groan that got pulled out of him that time. A full blown growl because in his sex soaked mind, at the moment, he didn't care why she was covering her mouth...It wasn't acceptable. Sexy as fuck, but not acceptable.

So suddenly the hand at the small of her back shifted to an ass cheek while the other slipped up her back, deceptively gentle. At least until he grabbed a handful of her hair and pulled her head back with that grip while rumbling down at her, "None...of t-that." His words broke up from his concentration on the punishing strokes of his own hips not to mention the groan that came forth shortly after. He was fairly confident nobody was around, he wasn't picking anybody up on his interface anyways...Still, there was a bit of movement about a mile or so ahead of them and he wasn't entirely sure what it was. That was why that hand on her ass vanished only to reappear again over her mouth even if he wasn't going to relent in his pace. He was determined to not only fuck the orgasm out of her but to make the most of the few minutes they had while the diagnostics were running.

"Goddammit, your...", he was interrupted with a groan, "...is fucking gold...", not even realizing he may have lost some words. Being coherent wasn't needed at the moment. But driving himself deeper into her certainly was. He shifted a little, pausing his thrusts while he twisted her away from the stone wall, coaxing her to lean forward with her hands on the ground. Once she was stable he lifted a foot onto that stone wall for a new angle to drive himself relentlessly into her and this time she wouldn't have been able to hide those fucking beautiful noises behind a hand as well. Remy kept that pace for as long as he needed to or at least until he started to feel that subtle twitch in her body and inner walls. Waiting until the last possible second before suddenly, rudely he took a solid step back, pulling out of her completely and leaving her bare to the cool damp air. Lightning flashed through the sky before the sudden clap of thunder that sounded overhead was nearly deafening. Remy's right hand wrapped around his own cock to give himself a few solid pumps before he approached her again. Planting a firm foot on the crotch of her pants, which were at her knees by then, and using only that foot to push them down to her ankles so she could step out of them.

Pulling her up into a standing position and using a firm hand on her hip to turn her to face him before he suddenly lifted her up. Curling his arms underneath her thighs and holding her away from him while he looked between their bodies to line the head of his cock up with her warmth. Once he was nestled against her he roughly pulled her down completely on his length with his own hissed breath as her ass and thighs collided with his body. He didn't give either of them time to recover from the entrance before he started rolling her down on himself and leaned forward to plant one helluva sloppy kiss on her lips. Harsh enough to redden her face with his scruff before he broke it to lean back and watch his cock disappear into her repeatedly.

"Ask nicely and I won't pull out...", he rumbled at her while burying his face in her hair as he settled her hips firmly against his again. Using his grip on her to slowly grind her over him while he nipped at her jaw with no intent of leaving a mark there as well. "...leave you t-throbbin'...", he growled the last part against her cheek.

Though he didn't give her a single second to respond or react before his hands slipped suddenly to her ass and made her drop a little on his cock. Slowly pulling her back up while he adjusted his hands for a better grip and backed up so he could find some stability with his feet as well. It was then the sky finally opened up in a downpour around them, though thankfully, the drone started doing it's job instantly and not a single raindrop hit either of them. When he was sure of his grip, and stance, he finally started bouncing her on his cock with his face still turned to watch between their bodies. At least for a while, with her mouth that close it was hard not to tilt his chin enough to claim her mouth in another kiss. This one far more 'put together' than the last and certainly hitting it's mark on making sure whatever moans she had for the next handful of seconds were only going to make it into his mouth.

--------------------------------

A ragged moan escaped her when Remy grabbed her by the hair and pulled her head back. Amber's hands fell to the wall she was braced over, and her "ah, ah, ah, ahs" were starting to sound increasingly desperate. By the time he was replacing her hand with his own, she couldn't remember why she'd been trying to hold back her moans and gasps; but she knew it felt good to be held that firmly by her husband, his hands controlling her head while he thrust muffled moan after whimper out of her. Amber was already toeing that proverbial line when he shifted her suddenly, bending her over while facing away from the wall.

"Ah," she gasped toward the ground. No way to know he'd heard her at all. "You're the--the gold." It wasn't even a fully coherent thought, but it was the best Amber could do while he was stroking into her like that. The angle had him rubbing against her trigger spot thrust after thrust after thrust, and there was a telling quiver in her upper thighs by the time he took that damned step back. "Remy!" Amber's cry was less about pleasure and more about frustration. He could be relentless, and if she had to reprogram robots while squeezing her legs together every few minutes...

The thunder and lightning answered her, making Amber gasp and jump. She turned back to look at him, looking as sexy as he was smug while he stroked himself and watched her. Amber set her hand on his arm while she was stepping out of her pants and underwear, using him for balance because her knees were feeling that shaky. "Remy..." she tried again, with a telling whine in her voice while she took a step toward him. That was as far as she got before he was lifting her into his arms, then slowly lining up with her... "Oh my god," Amber breathed. There was a note in her voice that implied she was thinking about throttling him, so it was good for everyone when Remy suddenly pulled her down on him. Her cry was equal parts need and relief, and she wrapped her arms around him clingingly tight during his scruffy kiss. Amber's cheeks were smarting in a feels good kind of way by the time he broke their kiss, leaving her to loll her head to one side and moan for the steady driving pace of his cock.

"M-m, you better not," Amber gasped. Her gasp was more for the way he dropped her down on his cock than anything else, and then again for the sound of the downpour opening up over them. She was a sexed up mess at that point, with sweaty skin and hair and a slightly glazed look in her eyes. "I'll -- set the robots on you," she groaned. "And... And... Ohgod, Remy," Amber whimper-moaned. "Don't-- Don't." It was as close to saying don't pull out that she could get in the moment. She could barely wrap her mind and mouth around those words, considering the way he was thrusting into her.

Considering how close she was to coming on his cock. His mouth gave her something else to focus on, and she clung to him during their kiss, working her hips into his as much as she could. Amber's hands settled onto Remy's back seconds after the kiss was broken, fingernails pressing into his skin while she moaned; seeming to make up for the last several moments of muffled silence by being extra loud. "Remy," Amber gasped. She nudged her mouth against the side of his face, then dragged her teeth over the scruff on his jaw. "I'm going to-- Please--" It was as close to asking nicely as she could get in the frenzy of the moment, because the end was surely coming; at least for her.

Amber's body jerked: first down on his cock, then up in a futile effort to get away from the feels-too-good driving sensation while she clamped down and spasmed around him. Her moan was incoherent as she set her nails against his back, digging long red lines into his skin while she leaned in to hide her face in his collarbone.

She had no perception of anything except Remy and his cock driving into her again and again, so she didn't notice when the bard slowly started to move: indicating the diagnostics had been finished, though he should've stayed in standby mode until she told him otherwise. Instead, the robot reached for the control console she'd set next to him, and while the lovebirds were finishing up the compromised robot programmed the others to follow the ‘insane' difficulty setting once they were released from ‘service mode;' traditionally meaning they would be able to injure but not kill any humans that came up against them...

--------------------------------

As relentless as he could be, and he could certainly be exactly that and more, it pleased him more than it probably should have to hear that note in her voice. The tone that implied if he'd kept her there and teased them both for any longer that she was going to make him regret it. That's probably why it pleased him so much when suddenly he was hilt deep inside of her and making her cry out the way she did. The driving pace was meant to be the undoing for the both of him but he was going to make damn sure to push her over that edge first. No matter how tightly he needed to clench his jaw to chase away his own release, which was really a hit-or-miss tactic in general. Though her gasped words were enough for him to shift his attention back to her while a cocky smirk started to tug at the corner of his lips. Even when she continued about setting the robots on him he couldn't help the amused look he gave her or the fact that he arched a brow at the threat while he continued to repeatedly bury himself inside of her.

Remy's grip on her ass tightened as she started to cling to him during the kiss that he was all too happy to keep going until he felt her hands settling on his back. Which tensed with anticipation that was justified the second he felt her nails pressing into his skin and pulling another low groan from his chest. But when he heard that word, Please, his hands slipped from her ass and back to her thighs to make damn sure he drove her over that cliff, in the process nearly taking him with her the moment her body started jerking. "G-Goddammit...", he growled against the side of her head and clenched his teeth enough to make an audible noise. However, he managed to keep the pace up long enough to ensure she was going to ride her's completely through...but just barely.

Suddenly his hands slipped back to her ass again, gripping her there tightly while he suddenly buried himself deep inside of her at a slower pace. Burying his own face against the side of her head while his eyes closed tightly and he had to shift on his feet to get her back up against something for more stability. Within seconds of doing that he felt his right knee try to give a little while he buried himself completely inside of her. His cock twitching, pulsing as it spurted his seed inside of her and a long rumbling noise was pulled from his chest that was completely shameless. It wasn't intentional but his hips gave her three more solid pumps, rough, while she was against the wall and more than likely he felt like he'd scuffed her back in the process. "Jesus, Amber...", he muttered while peppering her neck with lazy kisses before he leaned back enough to find her mouth for a solid loving kiss. "I love you so fucking much.", muttering against her lips this time. Remy stayed buried inside of her for a bit longer than usual just to give them both the time to catch their breath and stability. Once he was sure she could stay on her feet though he gripped her hips while he withdrew himself from inside of her with another groan.

He stayed around her for a few long seconds before he moved over to where they'd left her pants on the ground, thankfully the drone's 'safety circle' had been large enough to keep them dry. He offered her the pants while he leaned in for another brief kiss before taking a step back so he could get his own pants pulled up. Buttoning them he glanced towards the Bard who was, from what he could remember, still in the exact same place he'd been. Though his gaze lingered on the 'bot for a while longer because something in that general area seemed a bit off...he just couldn't figure out what it was. Instead, he shrugged his shoulders, and made sure his pistol was still secured to the back of his jeans before he made his way back over to Amber with a wide grin. "We should sign up to do the maintenance checks together...", he nuzzled his nose into the side of her head while she was buttoning her own jeans, "...at least then we get to keep doin' that." He was still grinning when he used his hands on her hips to spin her to face him so he could plant a softer kiss on her lips. It was a kiss that he would have been happy to stay in but apparently the world was slowly turning against them....

A bright flashing light practically surrounded them, the boom of thunder was nearly deafening, all when the drone flying over their head was struck with one of the deadly bolts. Remy, understandably, was startled out of the kiss and was quick to nearly drag Amber with him while they took shelter under the small overhang that hung over the Bard. He wasn't paying much attention to anything other than the heavy thudding of his heart when he grabbed her tablet and held it to her. Squatting down a little to get on eye level with her, "You alright?", he glanced her over a little before shifting to look at the smoking drone laying on the ground behind them. "Well, so fucking much for staying dry...or getting to cuddle.", he frowned a little but smirked before his eyes shifted back to the Bard. "C3PO done?", narrowing his eyes a little at the damned thing before his attention shifted back to her and he put himself far enough away that she could keep working on the thing if she needed to. But during his process of shifting away..."Is that thing's eyes following me?", he cocked his head at an angle and took a few more steps to the right, then to the left.

--------------------------------

Her satisfaction only deepened as Remy set his hands on her ass and pressed his face against the side of her head. Amber's hand slid up the back of his neck, holding him close while he finished inside of her. She made a softly protesting noise when he shifted inside of her that last time, only because the wall she was against was rough and the subtle throb of shallow scratches provided a confusing counterpoint to the lingering pleasure. She stroked her hand down his cheek during their kiss, snugging her fingers under his chin to keep him close. "I love you too," Amber murmured. She nuzzled another kiss against his mouth. As much as she loved her job - and she really, really did - Amber hated when the hours got in the way of being with him. They shouldn't have had to steal moments together like this, especially when she was close to certain her boss had a camera in that damn drone... She made another softly protesting noise when Remy pulled out of her, keeping both hands on him while she tried to get the feeling back in her knees. Amber wasn't up for doing anything quite yet, she always took a longer time to recover after sex, so she leaned against the wall and watched him get her pants. She was adjusting the way her shoulder holster was sitting, to keep it from digging into her side, by the time he got back to give her the pants. "Thanks," she hummed into their kiss.

Amber still hadn't noticed anything was off by the time she wriggled back into her pants and buttoned them up again. She tilted a quick grin at Remy for his flirting, and made a squeaking sound as he turned her around to face him. There was a playfully snarky comment just waiting for their kiss to end, so she could murmur it against his mouth, but the storm had other ideas. Amber had the time to squeak and latch onto Remy as the bloom of light surrounded them and was echoed by cataclysmic sounding thunder. Her wits were frozen with shock and fear, so it was lucky Remy kept his head: she moved only because he was moving, and he was her safety anchor even in her fear scattered brain. The rain pouring down on them helped bring Amber back enough that she hunkered her body over the tablet. It was more waterproof than not, but she didn't like to take chances... "Um," Amber dumbly answered his question. She looked down at the tablet and then back at Remy. "My entire life just flashed before my eyes," she breathed. "You and I are taking a vacation. For real. We work way too much..." Her heart was still hammering in her chest at how quickly that had happened!

"Um, right. The Bard..." Amber managed to settle enough to make sense of the tablet's screen. She was pushing some buttons to send the diagnostics report to her office computer, but looked up when Remy asked about the robot's eyes. "They shouldn't be," she murmured. She looked down at her tablet again and pusehd a few buttons to access the Bard's operating system. "He's powered down, but there's more energy output than there should be..." Amber was watching the energy readings on her screen when it happened, so she had half a second to start to say: "Remy, get out of there!" She hadn't even finished speaking when the Bard lashed out, lunging toward Remy and knocking him to the ground. The robots had been intentionally engineered to have only human levels of strength, despite their potential for more, so they wouldn't be able to overwhelm the guests. But the Bard's power levels were off the charts, making him at least twice as strong as a regular man.

"LET HIM GO!" Amber screamed as the robot got on top of Remy. It wrapped its fingers around her husband's throat, holding him down with sheer mechanical strength while she tried ineffective command after ineffective command. Her console wasn't communicating with the Bard anymore; he had somehow been isolated from the cloud network that governed the AI on the resort. Not something any robot could have done on their own, but a hacker... With a sobbing breath, Amber let the console fall to the ground and reached for the gun under her arm. She took a precious moment to aim, then fired three times in a row: leaving the bard's head intact while her bullets shredded its main power source, located in the chest cavity. Unfortunately, her aim was imperfect: she'd had to go in through the side instead of through the back, which would've been optimal, out of fear of a bullet going through the robot and into Remy. The Bard fell off of her husband, leaking fuel that looked as close to blood as they'd been able to get it, but it wasn't through yet. It turned to face Amber, wearing a bloodily mocking smile on its disturbingly human face. She drew in a breath and took a step back, bending only long enough to pick up the console (for all the good it'd do).

But instead of coming after her, the Bard took out its flute and started to play. He moved away from them, toward the graveyard: waking up the robotic zombies with his Death Ballad. Amber watched the robot for another moment, then scrambled toward Remy. "Remy, are you okay? Remy, baby..."

--------------------------------

There had been a soft frown take over his brows when she was talking about her life flashing before her eyes because, well, it had been a close call. He hadn't even processed the fact yet that a few inches in either direction and that bolt of lightning could have hit something a helluva lot more precious than that damned drone. Both of them looked to be untouched other than the rain that had already soaked them but water wasn't a thing to fret over. He couldn't lie and say he wasn't happy to hear her talking of the vacation they both desperately needed and he couldn't agree more with what she said. Even as she was saying it he slanted his eyes towards the nearest camera that his interface was registering as active and giving it a nice long, hard look. The tension in his shoulders was enough to cause a dull ache from the quick shifting of emotions he'd run through in such a short period of time. Not to mention the fact that he'd tensed up so tightly when that lightning had struck so close to them. It was an ache that felt like he'd run a marathon the day before but not enough to distract him or force him to pull attention to it.

Remy kept shifting around in front of the bot, to the left, to the right, he was pretty fucking convinced the eyes were following him. "Powered down my---", it all happened so fast he couldn't have even reached for his gun if he'd wanted to. The Bard lashing out after he'd settled himself right in front of it, he'd had every intention of tapping it on the nose or something, and sending him backwards with considerable force. He hit the ground with a loud thud and even skidded across the slick ground from the strength of the fucking 'bot. He was groaning, trying to roll himself to his side when he heard Amber screaming and felt the bot climbing on to him and securing him on his back on the ground. "What the fuc---", cut short again when the 'bots hands settled around his throat and stole whatever he had to say. Along with his ability to get a solid breath in.

His hands frantically grabbed at the 'bot's wrists in a futile attempt to try to pull his hands off of something he deemed necessary for life. In the moment, going for his gun hadn't even been an option but it was certainly something he'd curse himself out about later. Especially when he heard the ringing sound of Amber's pistol firing three shots in their direction. The Bard didn't even flinch until the last one seemed to knick something a little more important and fell off of him prompting Remy to roll to opposite direction a handful of times. Just to get the fuck away from it. His hands moved up to his throat, which was already red and slightly bruised from the damned thing's hands. Gasping for air he wasn't entirely focused on what he should have been in the moment until Amber was scrambling towards him and he managed to push himself up onto his hands and knees. Another long gasping sound, accompanied with a groan, pushed out when he managed to get up onto his knees and he wasn't wasting time in getting his gun pulled from it's holster on his back this time. She'd just barely gotten to him when he suddenly aimed his gun in her direction and glanced up at her then pulled the trigger. The bullet whizzing past her leg to a 'bot that was already half-out of his grave and making a desperate grab at her, hitting him square between the eyes. He could literally feel Erroll screaming at him in that moment but honestly, he didn't give a flying fuck. Bots weren't supposed to be fucking doing that and he was going to have the bruises on his neck and chest to prove it when the man wanted to pick that argument.

"I'm alright...", he said in a raw tone while finding his feet and glancing to a few more zombie 'bots getting to their own feet. "Make him play the other song, Amber...", he shifted around her to put her between a wall and himself. Shifting his eyes again to the Bard who was finished with his song and grinning broadly at them before he did a thing that froze Remy for a long second. He fucking winked at him. It was instinct, anger that he raised his gun again and lined it up with the Bard before he remembered they needed the fucking thing for the other goddammed song. "These normal zombies or Dawn of the Dead zombies, babe?", he growled but his attention was stupidly still fixed on the Bard instead of the zombie crawling closer, closer towards them. He barely had time to shift his attention to it before he slanted his aim and fired destroying it's skull like the last and glancing towards a camera after he had. "Fuck it, c'mon...", was all the warning she got before he grabbed her hand and pulled her with him for a sloppy rush out of the graveyard and into the village proper.

Once on the main road though, he skidded to a stop in the already soupy ground beneath them and locked his eyes on something more troublesome than the zombies. Two of the knights were standing in the middle of the road about ten feet in front of them and rolling their shoulders beneath their hulking metallic armor. It wasn't their only problem, obviously, the zombies were still climbing out of their graves and forming hoards to follow him and Amber. But at least they didn't have weapons and fucking armor. "Amb...", he muttered, "...can you run the kill code, shut 'em down completely...I can't shoot those..." Even though, he wasn't entirely sure if he needed to...they were just standing there, watching, almost like they were...Blocking their way out.

--------------------------------

A noise escaped Amber when Remy lifted his gun. It wasn't a sound she was proud of making, but the thrill of fear that something unknown was behind her got the best of her. She never even stopped to consider he could've actually been aiming his gun at her; that was even less possible than the madness they'd walked into. Still, she wasted no time in getting over to him, and she didn't make so much as a squeak about the state of the zombie's inner workings. Erroll would be pissed about it, but she was just thankful that Remy had stopped the thing from dragging her back into its grave. Being buried alive was a deep fear of hers, and that was what had her face as pale as it was while she took shelter next to him. "I - I," she stumbled when Remy told her to get the Bard to play the other song. Amber lived in a sterile setting, isolated from strangers and interacting with robots more often than people. She was good with some kinds of stress, but not this kind of action. She recovered more quickly with Remy's guidance, and managed to get the commands typed into the console. It wasn't as easy as that with a foreign entity in their system, of course, and she was still struggling with it when Remy reached for her hand.

"Wait, Remy, I'm not --" No chance to stop him. He was dragging her with him out of the graveyard, which in retrospect was probably the smarter option. He only had so many bullets in his gun... Amber was just lucky she remembered to keep her gun in the other hand during their wild dash to the main road, half blinded by the driving rain that was leaving her hair wet and heavy on her back and neck. "Kill code isn't working," she said in a frustrated voice. Now that she was keyed into the console, it had more of her attention: a puzzle she had to solve was easier to focus on than the chaos of the real world. That was why she had him, to handle the things that she couldn't. "I'd have to do a global command, and that'd wipe out everything..." Erroll would kill her if she did that, so it had to be a last resort. They weren't that bad off, yet. Even with the knights standing in the way: promising to be a problem for any backup who came from the main road, too.

A chat request popped up on the console's dialog, and Amber huffed out a noise while she accepted it. "Does that drone have a camera in it?"

Erroll grimaced at the way she'd answered his call, then acted like he hadn't heard the question: "You two stirred up some trouble... Did you find the source of the disturbance?"

"Hacker, like you suspected," Amber answered. She glared down at the camera so he'd know she wasn't finished with him yet, but Erroll acted like he hadn't seen that, too. He was a man, so he was good at not seeing or hearing anything he didn't like. "The inroad seems to be with the Bard... He's calling up the zombies now."

"Yes, I noticed that... I managed to send about half the graveyard into maintenance mode before he could pull them out of their graves. You'll have to get it all figured out in the next fifteen minutes, though..." There were close to 100 zombie robots in the ground, though many of them only came out for the guests playing on 'insane' mode. "I'd go for the power box. I'm sending reinforcements, but if you can get to it before the containment unit gets out there..."

"We won't have to report the malfunction to the authorities," Amber said, instantly understanding.

"That's right," Erroll answered, which was as close to praising her as he ever got. Then, he focused on Remy: "Hey, lover boy. Take your wife somewhere nice after this, eh?" He stayed long enough to see Amber's frustrated expression, then killed the chat connection.

"Ohmygod," Amber breathed. She didn't know if she was more upset about being out in the rain while Erroll was cozy, warm, and more or less safe from zombie robot attacks, or if it was the embarrassment that was going to kill her. Still, that was layered with a complicated sexual energy that made her look at Remy, grinning, before she saw what was behind him. "Oh -- Remy," she breathed. "We have to go. Not that way," she glanced at the knights, then reached for his hand. "Come on." Advancing behind them, coming from the graveyard, was a herd of zombies close to 30 strong. Amber had a map of the village pulled up on her console, and she used that to get them where they needed to go: bringing zombies trailing after them who'd lost their shambling walk for something a lot more difficult to outrun. The power box was on the outskirts of the town, hidden inside of a nondescript warehouse that only employees ever went in or out of, but the zombies following them weren't the only ones in their path. Close to 10 had gathered in front of the warehouse's entrance, and many of them had found something large and heavy to carry: bats, large sticks, stones bigger than a man's fist... Amber skidded to a stop, very close to panicking, and looked at Remy. She didn't have to ask him what they were supposed to do now; the hopeless question was written all over her face.

--------------------------------

Remy's attention, for the most part, stayed on those two knights standing in the middle of the road like some riot squad that was going to stop them from going the easy route. Mentally he was cursing Erroll for his use of real, fucking metal armor on the goddamed 'bots. Yeah, it sold the fantasy that the man was selling in Stonegate but...He was grumbling when he slowly shifted his eyes to Amber though he was hesitant to let the knights out of his line of sight. "What do you mean it's not working, they're just 'bots, Amber.", he didn't mean to sound as rough as he did but he sighed a little before muttering, "Sorry." Softening his face for her for just a brief moment before he shifted his stance so he could keep look on on both the knights and the direction of the graveyard. This was a fucking nightmare, so just for good measure, he sneaked a pinch on his inner wrist just to make sure. "Dammit.", he growled though it wasn't clear if it was because he wasn't suddenly waking up or because he could hear the hoarde clamouring in the distance, near though.

Amber's huffed noise pulled his attention to the console and he couldn't have frowned any harder if he'd wanted to at Erroll. His jaw tightening at the mention of the drone then the noise that rolled out with the accusation that they stirred up trouble...Well, it was a good thing Erroll wasn't standing anywhere near Remy at the moment. while they had their conversation, which he mostly paid attention to, he kept his attention on the 'bots nearby. Carefully pulling his wrist up so he could hit a few buttons on his watch to activate the security mode of his interface which gave him a HUD of everything going on around them. At that point though, he really wished he hadn't slanted a glance towards the graveyard. "Oh fuck you.", he fired at Erroll, mostly under his breath, at the mention of taking Amber somewhere nice.

He managed to return that grin though, if only for a moment, because something else pulled his attention to a small child peeking out of a shoppe window. The fact that it's eye flashed red at him for a brief second had him swallowing a bit harder than he'd intended. He didn't care at that point where they were going as long as it wasn't in the middle of that road for any longer. Not that where they ended up was really any better and he did well not to slam into her when she stopped suddenly, his eyes shifting to the warehouse's entrance. Remy knew it wasn't appropriate but he couldn't help laughing, "Oh fuck me, this just gets better and better.", his eyes shifted to his wife though and he frowned at that hopeless look. "It's fine, we'll figure it out. Is that the only way?", he asked while quickly digging in his back pocket to pull out a small black ball. Well, three small black balls and a coin looking object. The coin he tossed into the air which spun around before 'shifting' into a small type of drone that hovered above them. All of security carried them and he knew damn well it had a camera on it.

Remy shifted to look up at it before he pointed a stern finger at it, "You better pray she don't get hurt, Erroll. It's your ass.", and it was clear it wasn't an empty threat. Before he could continue his attention was pulled to three zombies that were suddenly charging at him, "Shit...Amber.", was all he managed to say before he had to fire two quick shots at the first, adjust his aim for the second closest and fire twice again. Rounds bursting into the their skulls before their crumbled on the ground. Six shots. That left him with 12 more. He didn't have time to aim up his shot with the next one before the third zombie was suddenly tackling him and they were a mess of limbs on the rain soaked ground. Both man and bot were scrambling on the ground, each trying to get on top, though the bot seemed more interested in trying to sink his teeth into Remy. At least the programming was good somewhere. He was so busy dealing with that, he didn't even have the time or brain to see the three more zombies charging at his wife. All three taking long galloping strides like they'd learned from the last three that they needed to move faster to get their target. He heard Amber's gun fire again though, how many times he couldn't have told you since dirt and water was clogging his ears.

He certainly didn't see what came next to suddenly clash into the two remaining zombies that she hadn't shot. A knight that towered over nearly everything had seemingly come out of nowhere and practically hit the zombies like a freight train and sent them flying away from Amber. Coming to a perfect halt in front of her before it's head slowly turned towards her and cocked arrogantly, "Do you require assistance?", the sarcastic tone couldn't have been missed no matter how muffled the helmet made his voice. The towering knight shifted a little to glance around her to Remy still struggling with the zombie before he glanced to the rest of the group. Whatever bot was beneath the armor sighed heavily and let his shoulders drop a little like he was disappointed and annoyed. "Supposed to be a lazy day, you know...this is...concerning.", he gestured towards Remy before he pushed past her roughly. Grabbing the zombie that was chomping at Remy's nose, failing to reach it, by the back of the neck and yanking the two apart. There was a mechanical whirring noise when his hand clenched around the zombie's neck to completely sever it from the body. Making it fall to the ground with a solid, metallic yet squishy thud. "I really didn't want to get this armor dirty.", the knight sighed again.

Leaning down again he grabbed Remy by his shirt to pull him up to his feet before he simply let go and turn on his heel. Striding towards the armed zombies and calling out over his shoulder, "May want to watch your backs, I'll clear the way." Remy by then, was looking as confused as a toddler in a psychics' class, shifting his eyes to Amber for some kind of answer while the knight started taking his sword to the zombies ahead of them. "The...fuck, is going on?", he muttered before turning and firing a shot at a 'bot that was approaching them from behind. "You can open the door with the console, right? Get it open while....", his gaze shifted for a moment towards the knight because he wasn't sure what to really say.

--------------------------------

Amber slanted a quick look at Remy when he laughed, then went back to working on the console. The hacker must have been plugged in directly to the system. There were only a few access points, and she was sure Erroll already had security heading that way, but until then... Maybe she could do something about the zombies' speed. She'd just started working on that when Remy brought up a good point. "There might be a maintenance tunnel entrance..." There was a tunnel access point nearby, and they wouldn't lose too much time by taking a less direct route. But when she pulled up the map on her console and swiped to the position, Amber realized where the last cluster of the hacker's fifty some zombies were: standing guard over the tunnel access. She sent a quick alert to Erroll while Remy was pointing a finger at the drone's camera, and then the zombies were on them. Amber glanced at Remy when he called her name, trying to stay calm while she worked on her console: going back to her original goal of bringing the zombies' gallopping pace back down to shambling. The only problem was, it was hard to focus on that while Remy's gun was firing and the horde kept advancing toward them... Not to mention the rain, which was interfering with her finger swipes.

"Remy!" She cried when she saw him fall from the corner of her eye. At that point, Amber had to make a choice: programming could make a difference, but it could do it too late to save the person she loved... She'd just brought her gun up to fire at the zombie trying to eat her husband when the other three started rushing her. Amber had played through many of the storylines on the resort, but it was different knowing something was happening because of her programming and knowing it was coming from a hostile, foreign agent. It was that panic - the fear she wasn't going to be good enough to beat the hacker, that she would be the reason the resort was shut down for unstable robotics - that had her emptying the rest of her clip into the nearest zombie charging at her. It fell to the ground, leaking hysterically life-like blood. She hated how realistic Erroll insisted on making everything look. If she'd had her way, the blood at least would have been a different color...

Hysterical, to be thinking about that at a time like this. Amber had just started to back away, holding her now empty gun at the zombies like it was going to do her any good, when things finally turned in their favor. What she at first assumed to be one of their high level players came charging into the battle, and he was far better equipped than they were to deal with the horde. She answered him with a look for his sarcastic question, frustrated beyond belief that she'd been cocky enough to leave HQ without any play gear. "We're a little beyond concerning," she growled at him. The knight earned another growl when he pushed past her so roughly, but she bit her tongue against the impulse to get snappy because he was saving her husband from the zombie. But standing behind him, Amber realized something about the armor he was so worried about not getting dirty. He was wearing their Rogue Knight outfit, which wasn't yet available to the playerbase... They had debuted it with the robots in a semi-new storyline a few months ago, and it was policy not to release new outfits until the next storyline cycle.

What the hell was going on? Amber ran to Remy while the stranger was lifting him up, and she took a moment to search him for anything worse than superficial wounds from his scuffle with the zombie. "I'm sorry," she said. "I couldn't get them to stop... I tried everything I knew." Her eyes went to follow the knight, equal parts speculative and suspicious. But she was grateful for his help, especially because it meant they might have a chance of suppressing the outbreak from government attention. Amber's fingers flew over the console, which was still giving her trouble because the screen kept getting wet. It took her a few extra seconds, but she managed to get the door opened before the hacker could lock her out of the permissions. "Come on," Amber said to Remy. "The door won't stay open long, and I'm not going to have a second chance. He's in the system... Once he locks us out..." Being in the system gave the hacker faster, more indepth access than anything she had on her console.

They made a mad dash through the rain into the open warehouse, racing against the garage style door starting to close again. It wasn't quite at rolling levels when she made it to the door, but Amber had to do a weird crouching hop to get inside without falling on her ass. No zombies in the warehouse itself, and her relief to be out of the rain was heartfelt. She was soaked through. Amber only took the time to make sure Remy had made it inside along with her before she strode down the warehouse's main aisle; heading for the back, where the power box was. The building was stocked with a variety of themed supplies, much of it replacement parts for the Stonegate storyline; from plug and play zombie limbs to new flutes for the Bard. Remy's drone had followed them inside and was tracking them through the warehouse. Erroll spoke again: "ETA on power reset? Unit incoming, 2min. No more stalling."

Amber opened the power box's cover and pulled the emergency shut down lever. Everything in Stonegate was instantly cut off from the power supply, causing everything mechanical in that area to shut down. "It's done," she said to her boss through the drone. Then she turned to look at Remy. "I have to see something. Can you help me get the door open?" Amber doubted their savior would've stuck around long after they got into the warehouse, but on the stray chance he had... She had to see if her suspicions were true, because she was half sure their reputations (and possibly their lives) had been saved by a robot.

--------------------------------

The knight for the most part ignored a lot of Amber's comments like she was some human equivalant of an NPC. He seemed far more focused on dealing with larger threat after getting Remy to his feet anyways. Remy on the other hand, was eager to help Amber check himself for anything that could cause to be a health problem. He was sure he'd be well bruised and sore the following day but they weren't done yet, "It's fine, baby.", he reassured her quickly but was more intent on watching the knight that'd saved them with just as much suspicion as she had. The damned thing was slicing through the hoarde of zombies like they were nothing more than butter to his sword. Part of him wondered just how much Erroll was freaking out about losing so many of his precious 'bots but another part of him was pleased it was happening. It was only when he caught the movement of the door rolling upwards that his eyes shifted first to it then back to his wife. The grumbling noise at the fact that the hacker was causing more problems couldn't have been helped in any sense.

So to say he was eager for that mad dash through the rain towards the open door would have been an understatement. Though he did well to make sure he kept his pacing that let Amber stay beside him. Shooting a glance towards the knight as they passed him and he was getting circled by the five zombies that he hadn't torn to pieces yet. The damned thing didn't even glance their direction that he could tell as they made their way inside. Both of them looking like drowned rats at that point and he lifted a hand to try to wipe some of the water from his face. Useless attempt really but it helped some. Enough that he was able to glare up at the drone and Erroll's voice when it sounded.

Really, he shouldn't have been angry with the guy, it wasn't like he'd planned to get hacked and have all of this happen. He knew it was some misplaced anger over the fact that his wife never really got the time off that she deserved thanks to him. So while Amber opened the power box he let that frown fade away and gave a unspoke nod of his head that was as close to an apology as the man watching was going to get. "Thank god.", he muttered when Amber said it was done and he could hear some type of noises coming from the either side of the door. With the rain pounding down it was hard to tell exactly what those noises were though. "Uh, yeah, sure...", he sounded questioning but still headed towards the door. Curling his fingers under the rubber trim at the bottom and pulling up with a groan at the resistance of the door not wanting to open that way. He managed to get it up to his knees, with her help, before suddenly a large armor covered hand appeared between his hands. "Fuck.", he said in a shocked tone and took a solid step back, taking Amber with him by using a hand on her wrist. The metallic hand pulled the door up with ease until it made a loud popping noise and he couldn't have been more confused when he saw the same knight standing there with his head still cocked at that arrogant angle. And when the knight took a step forward...

Remy kept moving him and Amber backwards, "Is he a...they're all off, right?", he slanted a look towards his wife before settling one back on the knight.

"Oh come on, save your life and you're scared of me? That's not very nice.", the knight said beneath it's helmet.

"Property is closed for repairs, you're not supposed to be here...", Remy said carefully on the chance that it was some player that'd snuck in for some quiet playtime.

There was an odd laugh that came from the knight that had Remy raising his weapon at him before the damned guy was clicking his tongue at him. "Ya'll got some problems you know. Came for a nice quiet get-a-way, meet up with my girl for a bit...end up having to bail on her to save your asses. And you still wanna aim a gun at me?", the knights right hand moved to his chest. "I'm hurt."

It was then that Remy stopped moving them backwards and simply nudged himself between the knight and his wife. "You wanna get banned, kid?"

The knight sighed and lifted both hands to his helmet, which had Remy glancing to his wife for a brief moment, and by the time he looked again the helmet was being pulled off. The man beneath the helmet didn't look out of the ordinary but Remy couldn't shake the feeling that he'd seen him somewhere before. It just didn't make sense until the knight said, "You couldn't ban me if you tried.", his dark, nearly black eyes settling on Amber before a grin spread across his lips. "I should really get going though, messes to clean up, girl to meet, big things going on...", he trailed off while glancing between the two of them then looked up to the hovering drone. "James Bond is in some trouble, should probably look into it."

Remy opened his mout to ask what the hell James Bond had to do with anything when suddenly the guy fell to the ground with a flourish of metallic clanging. Not a single movement, and he was staring pretty freaking hard, he shifted forward slowly with his gun still trained on him. "Is he a...you turned them off, how...", just to be sure he leaned down and checked for a pulse. Nothing. Pushing back up to his feet he grabbed Amber's hand, "We're getting the fuck out of here..."

--------------------------------

She didn't want to tell Remy her suspicions until she saw for herself if they were true. So she didn't answer his questioning look with anything other than a reassuring flash of a smile on their way over to the door. It took more wrestling than she would've liked to admit to get the door up enough for them to duck under, but before she could try a hand reached for the door from the other side. Amber gasped and took a step back with Remy, yielding the weight she'd been bearing to... Well, she was pretty sure she knew who was behind that hand. Needless to say, she wasn't surprised to see the -- probably not a robot standing on the other side of the door, looking arrogant enough to make Amber want to smack him upside the head with something heavy. Yes, he'd saved their lives, and she would always be grateful for that, but she couldn't help bristling a little at his attitude. Amber may've kept quiet during the exchange between their self-described savior and her husband, but the glower she shot at the glorified tin can said it all.

At least until he took off his helmet, revealing the face of a robot she had personally designed. She'd spent three hours on his nose alone! Much as Amber wanted to refute his braggadicio in saying they couldn't ban him if they tried... She had more than the impression that he was right. The hacker was a deviant, keying into their system to manipulate it for their own nefarious benefit; but this was different. The drone didn't react to the cryptic message given to them by the robot - Amber knew he had to be a robot, now, despite operating without a power source - but she knew Erroll was still listening.

She was still staring at the fallen robot when Remy reached for her hand. Amber looked away from it to her husband, then slowly furrowed her brow into a frown while looking over his shoulder. "Too late," she sighed. The containment unit was headed their way, and she knew they were going to have questions for them both. "Remember," she said in an undertone as they came nearer. "We never lost control of the robots. They never tried to hurt either of us outside of the storyline paramaters." Amber glanced at him so he'd absorb how important it was. "We were running a new storyline, and they malfunctioned against each other. That's why I shut them off." She squeezed his hand. "That's all you know." That was all the time either of them had to speak privately before they were swarmed by Robotics Containment Agents dressed in SWAT-like gear. Many of them were carrying automatic guns: big, hulking things with bullets specially made to pierce a robot's exoskeleton.

They were taken back to HQ on a helicopter, though the lead field agent was pissed about it. She wanted to take them back to her agency's headquarters, but Erroll managed to pull enough diplomatic strings to prevent their extradition. It took the agents nearly an hour to question Remy and Amber, both of whom had a slick lawyer present courtesy of Horizon's deep legal fund. With the help of their lawyers, they managed to turn the hounds off their trail. Help or not, Amber still felt like she'd been running a marathon by the time the agents let her out of the conference room she'd been sequestered in. She wandered into the break room, hoping to find Remy but willing to take a hot cup of coffee as a substitute.

She looked around the empty room and swallowed a sigh. No Remy. Amber pulled her phone out and sent a quick message to him while waiting for the machine to make her a caramel cappucino. I'm out where are you?

--------------------------------

Remy wanted more answers than he probably should have but he was determined to get them away from a robot that could function after all the others had been deprived of their power source. Nothing should be able to do that. Nothing built should be able to bypass things like that. For the first time in a long while, even during their fight to the warehouse, he was feeling something he hadn't felt in years. Scared. Not that he'd ever admit it, he'd rather lose a toe than do that. But...He glanced back at the 'bot around the time Amber was sighing and it took him a few seconds to direct his attention to what was approaching. He rumbled a growling noise at the sight of the heavily geared men but only because he thought they were too late to the party. That didn't stop him from shifting to look to his wife when she started to explain things though. Frowning heavily at the fact that he was being told that he needed to lie to them about what had actually happened. "Alright.", he muttered in a less-than-thrilled voice before slanting a look up at the drone still hovering over them.

RCA wasn't known for being...polite, but most of law enforcement was that way these days. Generally, the rougher the personality the more results they got and he just so happened to have been staring at a man he used to work with. Back when he was an actual detective with a golden badge, Kavik Glenn had always been an asshole, and now it looked like he was a part of the RCA task force that got sent in. Not that working with the ass earned him any wiggle room but there was a brief moment of recognition between the two men before everything started moving so quickly. He let Amber do whatever talking that needed to be done while they were still on the ground at Stonegate and even on the ride to the HQ.

It was a different story when they got put into different conference rooms and the questions started rolling in. He was thankful for the lawyer at that point that advised him on answering which question when they were asked. And by the end of it, he figured Erroll owed the both of them more than just a single vacation especially when Kavik had started pointing out the harsh marks around his neck from the 'bot that'd been trying to strangle him. Remy only answered with a cocky grin and a, "Wife likes it rough.", which was the signal for the lawyer to end the, well, interrogation. Once Kavik and the man that'd been with him left the room the lawyer was quick to hand him a stack of paperwork. Instructing him to sign it and explaining as he did that it was a confidentiality agreement about what had happened at Stonegate. Signing the last page he scribbled at the bottom of the page: Fiji, on you. Finishing up in time to feel his phone vibrating in his pocket and pulling it out to read Amber's message. "We're done, yeah?", he glanced towards the lawyer as he stood up. The lawyer was frowning over his memo at the bottom of the paper but nodded without looking at him. "Great.", Remy muttered.

He headed out of the room while tapping at his phone to send, On my way.

Kavik fell into a stride beside him on the way to the break room and was seemingly trying to strike up small talk. Remy wasn't having it. Answering with grunts, groans, and sighs and looking completely annoyed by the time he entered the break room and found Amber. He paused a few feet away from her to turn to his old colleague, "Look, it's been a long day, alright? You wanna catch up then we can do that some other time. Already got the story man, just back off.", his tone holding a threatening weight to it before he patted the man on the shoulder and smiled. Walking away from him he eyed the coffee machine for a long moment before wrapping an arm around Amber's waist from behind. "We goin' home?", he asked. Nudging a kiss into the back of her head, into her hair, before he sighed a little, "We smell like wet dogs and I feel like I was hit by a truck. Home.", lowering his voice to make sure only she heard it before he loosened his arm without losing it's place. Using it to guide her towards the exit for the breakroom and down the hallway. "I got stuck with Glenn and a suit...", he said randomly before turning his head to look at her as they walked, "...who'd you get?" It was minor chatter meant to keep them moving forward before somebody could pull them back in and deny them the ability to go home just yet.

"Erroll can wait.", randomly again, "...I'm getting you clean and debriefed.", giving her a boyish grin then a kiss on her forehead.

--------------------------------

Amber was nursing her fancy cup of coffee when Remy came into the break room, followed by an agent. Whatever calm she'd managed to rebuild for herself after the interrogation they'd put her under was gone in an instant. She straightened her back and lifted her head to a subconsciously more defiant angle. She was relieved when Remy turned to tell the agent to get lost, but she could only summon a partial smile for him by the time he was wrapping his arm around her waist. Amber leaned into him a little bit, but not as much as she would have if they'd been totally alone. "Mm, don't kiss me if I smell like a wet dog," she complained. She pulled out of his grasp, self conscious about her body odor, but was only too happy to go with him to the door. The cappucino had been brewed with a paper cup, so she took it along. "I didn't know either of them," she answered on their way out. "Agents Blenkowski and Simmons," Amber grimaced. "Simmons was a bitch the whole time, giving me the whole spiel about hiding robotics revolts being a felony..." She rolled her eyes. While she agreed with some of the agency's enforcement measures, hackers shouldn't have been on their list of things qualifying as a 'robotics revolt.' "Blenkowski played nice cop... Probably thought I'd be more likely to fall for that because of you."

She smiled back at him, pausing long enough in the hall to catch him by the cheek and pull him in for a proper mouth-to-mouth kiss. "Erroll can wait," Amber agreed. As far as she was concerned, her boss could wait for the rest of the month. They'd just lied to federal agents for him, the least he could do was give them a worry free vacation. They walked together to the shuttle depot, where they got into a rented shuttle that took them back to their place. Amber refused to live on the resort - though Erroll had employee housing set up on a small portion of the floating island - so they had instead bought a comfortable place on a smaller floating platform, about the size of the old world's towns. It technically belonged to Horizon, too, and it followed the resort island everywhere, but it at least gave them a sense of having a home 'off site,' even if it wasn't as far off site as they might've wanted.

As tech centric as she was, their home had a lot of cutting edge gadgets, though she respected Remy enough not to try and install a home service bot (even if they were more convenient). "I'm starving," she said to Remy on the trip home. "You want Chinese tonight?" Amber gave him an indulgent smile, then leaned in for a quick kiss before turning her attention back to her phone: putting in their regular order at the only Chinese restaurant she ate at anymore. It was a quiet, comfortable night in once they actually got home. Amber took the first shower alone - too much mud, and she wanted to feel sexy when she was with her husband - but still joined Remy once it was his turn to get under the water.

By the time they got out, clean and satisfied, their meal had been delivered. Amber had no patience for sitting at the table while they ate, but compromised enough to take it to the living room instead of the bedroom. They snuggled down with a shared blanket to eat and catch up on a tv seies they'd fallen behind on. (Really far behind, thanks to Amber's work schedule and her insistence they could only watch episodes together; they hadn't even finished the first season and the second season's third episode was already out.) As tired as she was, Amber was struggling to keep her eyes open halfway through the first episode, and by the time it was over she had fallen asleep with her head on Remy's lap: knowing she was safe and loved as long as she was with him.
